Volunteer Checklist
Here is a list of things you should consider bringing with you when you volunteer at an event. These are not requirements, but the better prepared you are, the more enjoyable your time in the woods will be. Plan for all weather, because in the UP in the fall it can change, sometimes multiple times a day! Depending on your work assignment, food may be provided, but it is always a good idea to bring your own as well.
Here are some other helpful tips:
-
Check the volunteer Sportity for volunteer communications, in addition to your email
-
Volunteer Registration (In person check-in) is required
-
Typically there will be a late registration day of event if needed
-
Know your volunteer Pick Up point/time, show up ON TIME
-
Some events cross time zones- make sure you know what time the schedule is based on vs what your clock says
-
Bring a 3-ring binder with the following
-
Emergency contact numbers
